Sharp & Driven began with something very personal: the way I believe a life should be built, and the way I am raising my son, Krish, to build his own.
I have never thought of a good life as one-dimensional. Financial independence matters. So do education, health, curiosity, culture, travel, style, relationships, judgment and the confidence to think for yourself. These things reinforce one another. Together, they create depth.
I have been fortunate to create financial freedom in my own life, and I am already teaching Krish about money, investing and the importance of building economic independence rather than simply looking successful. I have read widely throughout my life, built businesses and media brands, and learned that what you know, and how well you continue to learn becomes a form of capital of its own.
Education is central to that philosophy. There is tremendous excitement and noise around AI, and I believe AI will change how we work, create and learn. But technology does not replace a strong foundation. Education teaches us how to reason, communicate, question, research and develop judgment. Krish is currently a student, and I want him to use new tools while still doing the harder work of becoming knowledgeable and capable.
Travel has been another part of his education. At 17, Krish has already experienced Italy, Portugal, India, the United States, Mexico, London, Paris and other places, and we intend to keep exploring the world together. We do not travel simply to collect destinations. We travel to understand how other people live: their history, architecture, food, art, habits and ideas. To me, that is cultural capital: expanding the references you carry with you and learning to see the world with more context.
That same philosophy reaches into everyday life. How you take care of your body. What you eat. What you read. How you dress. The home you create. The conversations you can participate in. The work you choose to pursue. The way you manage money. The experiences you seek out. None of these interests live in separate boxes in real life.
Sharp & Driven is where those ideas come together.
I bring the infrastructure, experience and creative systems I have developed from building brands, businesses and media. But this publication is not simply my perspective translated for a younger audience. Krish is helping shape it with me.
He brings a natural sense of style, a modern perspective and the experience of growing up inside today’s education, technology and culture. I love the way he thinks. He is independent-minded, has strong opinions without needing to be loud about them, and has developed a calm way of expressing his point of view. Experiences such as Model UN and debate are teaching him to research, communicate and understand positions beyond his own.
As I share what I have learned, he is building his own life and his own judgment. I expect him to challenge ideas, introduce subjects I would not have chosen myself and increasingly make Sharp & Driven reflect his generation as well as mine.
That is why this publication feels like a true extension of how we live. It is about building economic and cultural capital, taking care of yourself, remaining curious, developing taste and creating the independence to choose how you want to live.
The aspiration is not to live like someone famous. It is to build a life worth living.
That is the life I have tried to build. It is the foundation I am giving my son. And through Sharp & Driven, it is a conversation we are excited to share as he builds a life of his own.
