Good morning. Here is what caught our eye in the last 24 hours, five stories worth your three minutes.
SoftBank just finished wiring its $30 billion into OpenAI. The third and final $10 billion tranche closed on October 1, taking SoftBank’s cumulative investment to $64.6 billion for roughly 13 percent of the company. The tranche was funded with proceeds from September’s record $11.1 billion bond sale, and reports say Nvidia’s final $10 billion payment is done too. Earlier this year, OpenAI announced a $110 billion financing round at a $730 billion pre-money valuation, anchored by Amazon, SoftBank and Nvidia.

Anthropic’s IPO prospectus warns that rogue AI agents could create legal liability. It also notes its models have been used in ways that may contribute to self harm or violence despite safeguards.
Why it matters: the first frontier labs to go public are writing the legal playbook for autonomous agents in real time.
OpenAI’s annualized revenue is approaching $70 billion. Reuters reports enterprise sales have more than doubled since July, and third quarter consumer revenue already exceeded all of 2025.

CoreWeave put NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin systems into the cloud, with the lab behind the Devin AI engineer first in line. Early tests show up to 4.8 times higher token throughput than GB200 systems.
Why it matters: the compute race just changed what a dollar of infrastructure buys.
